Silicone seminar in Radeberg from 23rd and 24th June 2010

The numerous guests, from the power utilities and the industry,  had the opportunity to learn about the use of silicone in the electro-technical field.  Recognised specialists from the silicone industry presented the latest results from the R&D laboratories, with a special focus on the long term tests.  
At the end of the presentations, the speakers were available for questions, before the assembly had the possibility to visit the latest BBC Group factory, namely the BBC Radeberg GmbH. This new factory produces, since the beginning of 2010, silicone components  as well as a large part of the Cellpack Electrical Products medium voltage portfolio.

Hands on active visitors …
That is what visitors on our stand have shown during the Light&Building in Frankfurt between the 11th and 16th of April 2010. The road show through Germany started by a new stand concept in Germany´s financial city. The new Compax joint have been demonstrated live, not only by Cellpack personnel but also from members of the public themselves. The visitors were convinced by the ease of mounting and the quality of the final product. The demonstrations of our new automatic resin mixing system AMX 1200 also generated a lot of interest. Easy, reliable and fast. Each and everyone were convinced!

 
 


 

Opening of our silicone products manufacturing plant in Radeberg

After 10 months construction time, we opened our new manufacturing plant for medium voltage silicone products. The new plant is specialised in manufacturing and assembling our Contrax terminations as well as Contrax and Compax joints which were previously produced in the rented space in Liegau-Augustusbad. We will also produce in Radeberg our field control elements and silicone skirts for our Hybrid terminations and joints. The injection machines were moved into the new plant, the research & development team moved in from Zittau and the production could start in October 2009. The highlight is the newly installed high voltage laboratory allowing R&D tests and type tests of medium and high voltage cable accessories, directly on the spot where the products are manufactured.

The building official opening will be celebrated on the 8th of June 2010.
